Guide to Corporate Actions

Overview

Licensed through our Shareholding Disclosure (SD) and Sensitive Industries (SI) services, and using an industry-leading corporate actions dataset, the Corporate Actions (CA) service helps reduce the risk of missing important events that can change issuer data used in critical disclosure calculations.

How Does Our Corporate Actions Service Work?

We've partnered with Exchange Data International (EDI), which provides us with a CA feed that we have integrated into our Shareholding Disclosure and Sensitive Industries services. The CA data feed complements your results directly, displaying historical and upcoming corporate actions. Much like the Global Company Database, CA recognises the ISIN or IssuerName provided in your positions file and matches this with our Corporate Actions data feed in your file. CA currently covers equities on 150+ exchanges worldwide, as well as data on 29,000+ US Mutual Funds. The EDI data is updated up to 4 times per day, and the CA feed is updated at that frequency.

A corporate action can influence key data relating to a particular issuer. This service provides details on past and upcoming corporate actions that may have influenced your data and, in turn, your disclosure obligations. Please note: for now, changes due to corporate actions are not reflected automatically in your results, and these need to be adjusted by the user.

Not all corporate actions are covered; only the following events are covered:

  • Consolidation / Reverse Stock Split

  • Sub Division / Stock Split-Dividend

  • Dividend Reinvestment Plan

  • Dividends (Stock)

  • Rights

  • New Listing

  • Bonus Issue

  • Bonus Rights

More information about these events can be found here.

Who Can Benefit from Our Corporate Actions Service?

Everyone! We are aware that you may have a whole team dedicated to monitoring corporate actions daily. The CA service will save you time and effort as you will not need to engage individually with separate vendors and consolidate your SD, SI, and CA workflows.

Important Items to Be Aware Of:
