Issuer Requests

Updated over a week ago

Overview

Issuers have the option to ask investors to share their ownership amount, known as an Issuer Request. Certain jurisdictions require investors to release this information upon the issuer's request. An example of this is the United Kingdom, where these are referred to as 793 disclosures, pointing to section 793 of the relevant legislation.

FundApps has developed this feature to streamline the process of obtaining issuer information in a few clicks.

How to Generate the Issuer Request Form

You can access the Issuer Request screen directly from your Dashboard or by selecting it from the Monitoring > Shareholding Disclosure > Results drop-down menu.

Filter by Date, Aggregation Structure, Entity, and ISIN. Then simply click on the Show Assets to see your results. A summary table for the issuer will then be generated based on your filter criteria.

You can also use the Issuer Request feature for internal monitoring purposes. If you have a standard email you send to issuers, you can copy this information without any further calculations or manipulation needed.

Otherwise, click Generate Document on the right-hand side, and the system will generate an auto-populated standardised form for you. You can then review the form and submit it to the relevant issuer.

Important Note

Please note that the look-through functionality of the issuer request does not include exposure that is exclusively gained via index derivatives.

If an instrument is only included in your positions file as a constituent of an index, the instrument’s ISIN will not be included in the issuer request look-up.
