Restricting User Access by Email Domain

Updated yesterday

Overview

This article explains how to restrict the creation of user accounts based on their email address domain. Implementing domain restrictions ensures that only users with approved corporate email addresses can access your environment, preventing unauthorised access by third parties.

Domain restrictions are optional but recommended as an additional layer of security.

What This Means

Email domain restriction allows your organisation to define an "allowed list" of specific domains (e.g., @companyname.com). Once enabled, the platform will block any attempt to create a user account using an email address that does not match these designated domains.

How to Enable or Update Domain Restrictions

To enable or update your email domain restrictions, follow these steps:

  1. Identify the specific corporate email domains that should be permitted to access FundApps.

  2. Contact the FundApps Support team via the In-App Messenger or by emailing [email protected] to request the restriction.

  3. Specify whether the restrictions should also apply to your staging environment, if your organisation has one.

  4. Confirm the updated allowed list once notified that the changes are complete.
