Understanding the Position Limits Results Dashboard

Overview

The Position Limits service monitors your exposure against regulatory thresholds using three core rule types: spot month limits, single month limits, and all month limits. When you run your checks, the Dashboard presents a detailed breakdown of results for each contract month.Spot month limits

This guide explains how each rule type works, how results appear in the Dashboard, and how to interpret Warning or OK statuses so you can maintain compliance:

  • Spot month limits

  • Single month limits

  • All month limits

Spot Month Limits

If you hold a contract for a later month rather than the front month, but it still has a spot month limit, the Dashboard displays the exact date the limit takes effect. Each contract month appears on its own dedicated line in the Dashboard.

Alert Statuses and Breach Warnings

When a contract exceeds a limit before that limit officially takes effect, FundApps flags the result as a Warning. The Dashboard provides key information to help you manage your position:

  • The date the limit takes effect

  • The number of contracts exceeding the threshold

  • The exact amount you must unwind to remain compliant before the effective date

If no limit is breached and the limit is not yet active, the Dashboard displays an OK result.

Single Month Limits

Each contract month has its own line and individual result in the Dashboard.

When a contract requires monitoring against both single month and spot month limits, the Dashboard displays a separate line for each limit type per contract month. You may therefore see more than one result line for the same contract code.

All Month Limits

All month limits aggregate every contract month together and remain active at all times.

Because these limits combine multiple contract months into a single consolidated view, the Dashboard does not display an entry under the ContractMonth field.
