Overview
The SEC allows an asset manager to omit holdings from 13F reporting if these are under certain thresholds, also known as de minimis positions.
De Minimis Definition
De minimis positions are defined by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as holdings of fewer than 10,000 shares and less than $200,000 aggregate fair market value. For further information, please see the Form13F Special Instructions #9 (de minimis positions)
How to Enable
In FundApps, the Is13FDeMinimisExempt global setting allows for these holdings to be omitted from 13F Reporting. This setting can be found under Admin > Setup > Global Settings > Is13FDeMinimisExempt.
Aggregation & Results
If enabled, holdings of fewer than 10,000 shares and less than $200,000 aggregate fair market value will be omitted from your 13F results.
If set to False, i.e. the setting is not enabled, de minimis positions will be included in the 13F results.
The rule aggregates positions at the issuer level but groups by ISIN when determining which positions are exempt.
