Setting Up Credentials and MFA in Filing Manager FCA

Updated this week

Overview

As part of the Filing Manager FCA workflow, we require our users to save their FCA username, password and MFA secret key saved in FundApps, this allows our product to submit the short report with the user’s FCA account.

How to Set Up

To add the necessary credentials, please follow these steps.

Navigate to Portfolio & Entities > Forms Properties > Regulators ID, then update your FCA ReportingID.

Your FCA ReportingID can be found on the FCA ESS portal. When selecting a new case, choose the entity you would like to report to; the Position Holder ID is automatically populated on the website. That’s your FCA ReportingID.

In the Filing Manager FCA screen, please click on the cog icon. A pop-up will appear where the user needs to save their FCA username, password and MFA QR Code.

MFA QR Code

How to obtain the MFA QR Code (if this is your first time logging in to the FCA, please jump to step 6):

  1. Log in to the FCA ESS portal.

  2. Click on your username in the top right corner, followed by My profile.

  3. Scroll down to MFA Details and click on Reset MFA > Confirm.

  4. Log out of the portal.

  5. Check your email. The FCA should have sent you a 6-digit code to use when you log in again.

  6. Log in to the FCA portal.

  7. The FCA will prompt you to choose an MFA method. Please select the first option: Download and use the Salesforce authenticator app or use your preferred authenticator app.

  8. A QR Code will show up. Right-click the QR code and save the image as a PNG file.

  9. Upload the PNG file to the Filing Manager FCA settings.

  10. Complete the steps in your authenticator app to enable future logins to the FCA portal.

Now you’re all set and ready to use Filing Manager FCA!
