How to Exclude OTC Options from 13F Reporting

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Overview

This new global setting allows you to automatically exclude all over-the-counter (OTC) options from your 13F regulatory reports.

How It Works

The feature operates only when the global setting is enabled (True), meaning OTC (Over-the-Counter) options will be excluded from 13F reports.

Conversely, when disabled (False), OTC options are included in these reports by default.

The system distinguishes OTC options by verifying the Market property; options coded with "XXXX" or "OOTC" in the Market field are categorised as OTC options.

It's crucial that all options have the Market field populated for this functionality to work correctly.

How to Enable This Setting

  1. Navigate to Admin > Setup > Global Settings

  2. Find the IsUS13FExcludingOTCOptions section near the bottom of the page.

  3. Set to True to exclude OTC options.

Requirements

  • Ensure all options in your positions file include the Market property.

  • The Market property must be populated with appropriate values to identify OTC options ("OOTC" or "XXXX").
